The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) organised a one-day capacity building programme on the topic, ‘Happy Classrooms’ at the school. The workshop was aimed to equip teachers with strategies to create a positive, engaging and stress-free learning environment for students. The session was attended by teachers of the school. All teachers were eager to explore new approaches to foster joy and emotional well-being in the classrooms. The resource persons for the programme were Dr Chhavi Kashyap and Kalpana Khanna, who shared their expertise on making every classroom a happy and productive. In the programme, they highlighted key features of happy classrooms, like how to make learning possible in happy environment, techniques for creating a positive learning environment in classrooms, activity-based learning, role played by teachers in shaping students’ emotional well-being and ways to foster trust and communication between teacher and students.
