Members of the Chaman Vatika Gurukul, Ambala, family were honoured and delighted to receive a surprise visit from Aacharya Dev Vrat, Governor of Gujarat with the additional charge of Governor of Maharashtra. The Governor’s impromptu visit brought a renewed sense of encouragement and inspiration to everyone present. The girls of the school had the privilege to interact with the Governor, who exemplifies leadership and dedication. Aacharya Dev Vrat, along with Dr Rajendra Vidyalankar, OSD to the Governor, visited the classes and inspired the girls to go the extra mile in studies as well as co- curricular activities. The Governor’s kind and inspiring words, thoughtful insights, and genuine interest mean a great deal to all in the school.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

The Tribune, the largest selling English daily in North India, publishes news and views without any bias or prejudice of any kind. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
