Students showcased their skill and determination at the zonal-level tournament organised by the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) for the academic year 2025-26, held at Government High Smart School, Karala. Among the various sporting events, the traditional martial art of Gatka saw commendable performances by the school's young athletes. In the U-17 category, Paramveer Singh from Class IX-D secured second position, bringing pride to the school with his sharp reflexes and calm under pressure. The U-14 category was equally thrilling, with Parwaj Singh of Class VII-B winning second place and Himmat Singh of Class VII D earning a respectable third place. Both students impressed the judges and the crowd with their skilful moves and discipline throughout the competition. Principal Dr Shiny Devassy congratulated the students on their remarkable performance and encouraged them to continue pushing their limits. She appreciated the efforts of the Physical Education Department for training the students with dedication and focus. School Administrator Nitin M Varghese expressed his delight at the students’ achievements and wished them success in future competitions.
