Mount Carmel School, Chandigarh, hosted The Mind Fizz, an inter-school science quiz competition, which brought together students from leading Tricity schools to participate in a rigorous and stimulating contest of scientific knowledge. The event commenced with a solemn Bible reading, setting the tone for the day, followed by the competition. Four teams - Vivek High School, ATS Valley School, Mount Carmel School Zirakpur and The Tribune School - qualified for the finals after the preliminary rounds. The final round consisted of six gripping segments that tested the participants' knowledge in General Science, Space and Astronomy, Medical Science, Environmental Sustainability, Technological Innovations and Emerging Trends. After a closely contested competition, the school emerged victorious, claiming the top spot. The Tribune School secured the first runners-up position, while ATS Valley School took the second runners-up spot. The competition was a resounding success, showcasing the school's commitment to academic excellence and its efforts to nurture scientific temper, critical thinking and innovation among young learners.
