Jasmehak Kaur, a student of Class V of Gurukul World School, Mohali, brought glory to her school by winning a gold medal in the one-lap road race and a silver medal in the Rink Race at the Manav Mangal Skating Carnival 2025, held at Manav Mangal Smart School, Sector 88, Mohali. The competition witnessed participation from young skaters across the Tricity, including Mohali, Panchkula and Chandigarh. Jasmehak displayed exceptional skill, determination and sportsmanship throughout the event. Principal Poonamjit Kaur congratulated Jasmehak on her remarkable achievement, praising her dedication, hard work and commitment to the sport. This achievement not only highlights Jasmehak's talent but also underscores the school's encouragement of sports and extracurricular excellence among its students.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

The Tribune, the largest selling English daily in North India, publishes news and views without any bias or prejudice of any kind. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
