Kishori Lal Jethi School of Eminence, Khanna, organised a mela under the Business Blaster Programme, showcasing the entrepreneurial spirit of students from the ‘Beauty and Wellness’ trade. Its purpose was to provide practical knowledge of running business to students and help them to learn essential business and customer handling skills. Students participated by setting up stalls offering mehandi, facial, nail art, hair styling, and waxing services. They took real life experience of running a business. The stalls attracted a large number of students and teachers. It also enhanced creativity, confidence, communication skills and financial management skills among students. Along with this, stalls of food items like golgappa, bhel puri, momos, chana chaat and sandwich were organised by students, which made the mela more colourful and enjoyable. Principal Rajesh Kumar Phull appreciated the efforts of teacher Rajdeep Kaur, beauty and wellness trainer, and students for their teamwork and said, “Such activities not only enhance creativity but give us valuable knowledge of how to run a business and motivate us so that we can become self-reliant.”
