Martyrdom Day of Shaheed Udham Singh observed

Martyrdom Day of Shaheed Udham Singh was observed at Sri Guru Harkrishan Senior Sec Public School, Sector 40-C, Chandigarh. The programme commenced with the school prayer, followed by speeches, poems, and patriotic songs presented by students, all highlighting the valiant life and supreme sacrifice of Shaheed Udham Singh. A special highlight of the event was the screening of an inspirational video based on his life. The video vividly depicted his revolutionary spirit, the revenge for the Jallianwala Bagh massacre, and his act of bravery in London, offering students a visual insight into his heroic legacy. To further enrich the students’ understanding, an interactive quiz was shared through a Google Form, ensuring 100% participation from students. Designed to reinforce their learning, the quiz not only tested their attentiveness but also deepened their appreciation of India’s freedom struggle, encouraging them to reflect on the ideals of courage, sacrifice, and patriotism that Shaheed Udham Singh stood for. Principal Shama Kukkal, while addressing the students, stated that the sacrifice of Shaheed Udham Singh remains a timeless source of inspiration for the youth. She emphasised the importance of adopting his ideals and contributing meaningfully to the service of the nation. The programme concluded with the collective singing of the national anthem.
