Students from the school visited the local police station and post office, gaining valuable insights into the working of these important civic institutions. The Class X students visited the Ghumarwin Police Station, where they were greeted by SHO Bhag Singh Thakur. Thakur provided the students with crucial information on various aspects of policing, including the process of filing a First Information Report (FIR) and the importance of traffic safety and drug abuse prevention. The Class IX students from the school visited the local post office, where they were guided by Rajesh Kumar. During the tour, Kumar provided the students with an in-depth overview of the postal system, explaining the process of posting letters and parcels.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

The Tribune, the largest selling English daily in North India, publishes news and views without any bias or prejudice of any kind. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
