Mount Carmel School, Zirakpur, celebrates Grandparents’ Day

The school hosted a Grandparents’ Day celebration, bringing together students and their beloved grandparents for a day filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments. The event held to honour and appreciate the special bond between grandparents and their grandchildren. The celebration featured a variety of performances, including songs, dances, and skits performed by the students, dedicated to their grandparents. The event emphasised the importance of family and the irreplaceable role that grandparents play in shaping the values of younger generations. “We are delighted to host this event, which allows our students to express their love and gratitude for their grandparents. This is a day to celebrate the wisdom, guidance, and support that grandparents provide,” said Principal Rashmi Ivy Rafi.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

The Tribune, the largest selling English daily in North India, publishes news and views without any bias or prejudice of any kind. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
