Dr Rakesh Kumar, Assistant Professor, Department of Education, Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla, graced the occasion as the chief guest, while Sanjay Awasthi, Retired Manager, Himachal Gramin Bank, was the guest of honour. The event began with the lighting of the lamp and Saraswati Vandana, followed by a welcome address by Principal Anuradha Jain. In his inspirational address, Chief Guest Dr Rakesh Kumar emphasised the importance of social responsibility, nation-building and environmental protection. He encouraged volunteers to be agents of change in society. On the first day, students participated in activities such as a cleanliness drive, environment protection rally and tree planting. The upcoming days will feature programmes on health awareness, traffic safety, yoga, de-addiction and personality development. The programme officer expressed gratitude to the guests and volunteers. The programme was conducted by the school's NSS unit volunteers.
