The birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi and second Prime Minister of India Lal Bahadur Shastri was celebrated at the school. A special assembly was conducted by students of Class V. A plethora of interactive and interesting activities were performed enthusiastically by all sections of Class V. Academic Director Poorti Bansal enlightened the students while focusing on the message of Mahatma Gandhiji to follow the path of truth and non-violence. Coordinator Praveen Thakur told the students to be peaceful and good to everyone. Story-telling and craft activities were organised. Students showcased their creativity by making spinning wheel and other articles using different materials.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

The Tribune, the largest selling English daily in North India, publishes news and views without any bias or prejudice of any kind. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
