Adharshila The Foundation hosted a two-day taekwondo tournament with 14 schools participating. Students won numerous medals; Yuvraj, Jatin, Kalsum, Jashanpreet, Vanshita, Rashika, and Harsirat secured gold. Rohanpreet won gold in Karate. Successful students will compete at the district level.
Shah Balwant Rai DAV Public School held a Ved Prachar Week, featuring Vedic activities and competitions. Guided by Yogendra Shastri, the event fostered spirituality and learning. Principal Jaswinder Kaur and Chairman Amrit Lal Chhabra praised the initiative, emphasizing moral values and the spread of Vedic knowledge.
GGSVM students visited Punjab & Sind Bank to learn about banking and saving. Bank staff explained basic banking operations, including deposits, withdrawals, and lockers. Principal Oberoi and Jaswant Singh emphasized the value of this real-world experience in fostering financial literacy and shaping young minds.
The Gurukul Global School Leadership Conclave 2025, themed 'Arsenal of Argument,' began with enthusiasm. Chief guest Dr. Syed Sehrish Asgar inspired students. The event featured cultural presentations and the formal opening of the Model United Nations, promising enriching discussions and interactions.
Sri Guru Gobind Singh Public School held an activity for classes IX and X on 'Man: Dishonest or Nature: Destructive.' Students argued dishonesty weakens society and nature reflects human actions. Honesty and responsibility were highlighted for harmony. Baba Jujhar Singh House won. Principal encouraged integrity and environmental balance.
PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya, AFS High Grounds hosted the 36th Regional Youth Parliament Competition. 427 students from eight Kendriya Vidyalayas participated. PM SHRI KV Kapurthala won, followed by PM SHRI KV 3BRD Chandigarh and PM SHRI KV No. 4 Pathankot. Individual and best speaker awards were given.
Guru Nanak Foundation Public School held a lecture on moral values and personality development for classes X and XII, led by Satnam Singh Salhopuri. He emphasized the importance of moral values, discipline, humility, and positive thinking in shaping character and fostering a meaningful life. The Vice-Principal thanked the Sri Sehaj Seva Society.
Dr. Regina Maini lectured Senior Sec Model School students on dengue prevention, recommending weekly water changes in coolers, full-sleeve clothing in the evenings, and clean surroundings. Principal Satvir Singh praised the lecture, and Harpreet Singh offered thanks. All students and teachers attended.
Holy Mary's School, Banur, received Fit India School recognition from the Indian government for promoting fitness and sports. The award acknowledges the school's dedication to fitness activities and sporting excellence alongside academics, according to Principal Shiny Devassy.
