A special assembly was organised to celebrate Janmashtami in the school auditorium. Students from all four houses took part in it. Director of the school Mahesh Chand Katoch and Principal Neelam Rana were present to encourage the students. Students of Blue House presented a beautiful act on the naughtiness of Lord Krishna while Green House enacted the incident of Govardhan Parvat lifted by Lord Krishna. Red House and Yellow House presented group dance. Blue House got the first position, Green and Red House got second and Yellow House got the third position. A house board decoration competition on the theme of Janmashtami was also organised in which the first position was grabbed by Red House, second by Green House, third by Blue House and The fourth position by Yellow House. Principal Neelam Rana congratulated all participants.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

The Tribune, the largest selling English daily in North India, publishes news and views without any bias or prejudice of any kind. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
