Republic Day was celebrated in the school. The chief guest, Principal Neelam Guleria, started the programme by lighting the lamp after unfurling the national flag, after which the children presented a colourful programme in which ‘Saraswati Vandana’, group dance and group song by children of the primary section, group song and group dance by children of the senior section were presented. The group dance on “Mera Rang De Basanti Chola”, presented by children of the primary section, got the most applause. Prizes were also given to the students who performed well in the Hindi fortnight organised earlier in the school. The importance of January 26 was explained by the principal of the school.
