To observe World Nature Conservation Day, a tree plantation drive was held at the school under the Shiksha Saptah programme. The initiative was taken in collaboration with the UBI, Palampur. The event was aimed at enhancing environmental awareness and fostering community involvement in nature conservation. The drive was inaugurated by Col Sharad Kumar, nominee chairman, VMC, PM Shri KV, Palampur, in presence of Principal Sunil Kumar. Atul Dhiman, Senior Manager, Union Bank of India, Palampur, was the guest of honour. The plantation drive featured a special programme, titled “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam,” where trees were planted by 35 students of the vidyalaya along with their mothers symbolising the nurturing spirit of motherhood and its connection with nurturing the environment. The event was graced by Major Rakesh Kumar, Education Officer, Holta Camp. The drive concluded with refreshments for all participants, offering an opportunity for social interaction and relaxation.
