Saanvi Bohra, a student of Class X at Goverment Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 16, Chandigarh, has secured the title of All-India Best Cadet JD JW Navy, ranking third nationwide in Republic Day Parade in New Delhi recently. She is the first girl from her school to achieve this honour. Beginning her NCC journey during the Sector 17 parade on Independence Day in 2022, Saanvi swiftly rose to leadership roles, eventually commanding her contingent during the Annual Training Camp 2023-24 at Kendriya Vidyalaya, Sector 31, Chandigarh, where she also bagged the award for Best Drill. Saanvi’s excellence, however, extended beyond the NCC as she excelled in boxing, winning gold medals in the Chandigarh Inter-School Boxing Championship and the Chandigarh State Boxing Championship in 2023-24. Supported by Principal Bhavneet Kaur, NCC officers Rajinder Kumar and Divya Jindal, along with her teachers and her parents, Saanvi aspires to serve as an Army officer.
