Two teachers of the school Monica Sharma and Nalini Ajay have been conferred with the Kalam Memorial Teacher’s Award. The award is a testament to their tireless efforts, dedication, and commitment to excellence in education. Out of over 1,000 applicants, Monica and Nalini underwent a rigorous year-long scrutiny process, emerging among the 23 awardees nationwide. The achievement is a proud moment for Sacred Heart, recognising the school’s commitment to academic excellence and teacher development. According to Principal Rev Sr Venita Joseph, “This achievement is not only a proud moment for our school but also a motivation for our teachers to continue striving for excellence. We are grateful for the contributions of Monica and Nalini and look forward to their continued inspiration and guidance.”

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

The Tribune, the largest selling English daily in North India, publishes news and views without any bias or prejudice of any kind. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
