Sister Arti, Principal of Sacred Heart Sr Sec School, Chandigarh, extended her heartiest congratulations to Shambhavi Sinha, a Class X student, who has secured the first rank in North India as the representative of Chandigarh in the National level Camp of Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan i.e. VVM 2020-21.

Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan is an initiative of Vijnana Bharati (VIBHA), in collaboration with Vigyan Prasar, the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India and the National Council of Education of Research and Training (NCERT).

The VVM 2020-21 caught a glimpse of Shambhavi’s scientific brilliance in the first round itself, held in November 2020, where she had attained the first rank in Chandigarh.

In the subsequent state-level camp organised in February 2021, she secured the second position in Punjab/Chandigarh region, along with a cash prize of Rs 3,000/- and also qualified for the national level camp.

The final national camp was held online on May 30, 2021. The final level witnessed a stiff competition where over 290 representatives from various states and countries vied for the coveted position.

The competition provided her with a global platform to showcase her profound understanding of the concepts, through virtual experiments, the Q and A rounds, assessed by eminent scientists.

She was felicitated by the Director of the CBSE, Director of IIT, Kanpur and other dignitaries as well, with the first position in North, a cash prize of Rs 5,000/- and a certificate, in an online ceremony, held yesterday.

Shambhavi Sinha, also expressed her gratitude and ascribed her success story, to her parents, the Principal and faculty of Sacred Heart for their constant guidance and support.
