The 64rd Founder’s Day of the school was solemnised with great pomp and show. The chief guest of the momentous and historic day was Lt Gen Rajesh Pushkar, Vishisht Seva Medal, GOC, HQ 2 Corps, Ambala. Some of the high profile dignitaries included Lt Gen DDS Sandhu, PVSM, former DGOS, Maj Gen Bishamber Dayal, VSM, president, Old Boys’ Association of the school. The festivities began with “wreath laying” at the Sai Kunj War Memorial where the chief guest paid homage to the brave Kunjeyans who laid down their lives in the line of duty. Thereafter, the chief guest was accorded a Guard of Honour by NCC cadets. Principal Col Vijay Rana read the school report. This was followed by the investiture ceremony where the chief guest administered oath to the new school appointments after the solemn pipping ceremony. This was followed by the most awaited presentation of glittering trophies. The Best House trophy in the Holding Houses category was won by Chhamb House whereas in the Junior and Senior Houses, Kurukshetra House emerged victorious. In the individual excellence awards, this year’s proud recipient of Chief of Army Staff Trophy for securing best rank in All India UPSC NDA exam was Cdt Sagar Dhaka. With brimming smiles, the proud parents of Cdt Sarthak Balu received individual Best All Rounder Trophy for his distinction in both academics and extra-curricular activities. The coveted Late Smt UK Bakshi Trophy for academic topper of class XI went to Cdt Madhur Singhal of Chillianwala House. In the end, Maj Gen Prem Sagar Trophy for Academic Topper of class VIII was presented to Cdt Asmi.
