Devesh Garg, a Class XII student, secured the top position in Mohali district in the CBSE Class XII board examinations with an impressive aggregate of 97.6 per cent. Devesh showcased academic brilliance by scoring a perfect 100 in physics and 99 in mathematics. Remarkably, he also pursued economics as an additional subject and emerged as one of the top scorers in that as well. Known for his all-round excellence, Devesh has consistently stood out not just in academics but also in co-curricular domains, making him a role model for his peers. Expressing her pride, school principal Inderjeet Kaur Sandhu said, “Devesh is an exceptional student whose dedication and discipline have been truly inspiring. His success is a source of immense pride for our entire school community.”

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

The Tribune, the largest selling English daily in North India, publishes news and views without any bias or prejudice of any kind. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
