Athletes of SBR DAV Public School, Talwandi Bhai, made the institution proud by showcasing an outstanding performance at the state-level DAV sports held at Police DAV Public School, Patiala. The school’s athletes exhibited remarkable skills, determination and sportsmanship throughout the competition. The team bagged a rich medal tally of two gold, eight silver and five bronze medals, securing the overall trophy for their exceptional performance. In the under-19 category, Vishaldeep Singh and Jasneet Kaur were selected for the national-level in triple jump, long jump and discus throw. In the under-17 category, Jashandeep Singh earned national-level selection for the 100m and 200m races, marking a stellar achievement. Further, Khushdeep Singh, Prabhsimran Singh, Ramkaran Singh and Sehajpreet Singh brought laurels to the school by winning silver and bronze medals in triple jump, long jump and javelin throw, along with 100m race and relay races. The success was made possible under the able guidance and tireless efforts of Dheeraj Sharma, Lakhvir Singh and Rajkumar, the school’s dedicated DPIs, who trained and motivated the athletes to give their best performance. The achievers were felicitated by Principal Jaswinder Kaur, who praised their hard work and dedication, saying that, “Sports not only strengthen the body but also shape leadership and teamwork.” Chairman Amrit Lal Chhabra extended his heartfelt blessings and congratulated the winners and mentors for their commitment to excellence, encouraging them to continue bringing glory at the national level.
