Senior Secondary Model School, Patiala, celebrated the 81st birth anniversary of Flying Officer Nirmaljit Singh Sekhon, PVC. During the morning assembly, NCC cadets paid tribute to his supreme sacrifice in the 1971 war. The students learned about his remarkable achievements, including being the only Indian Air Force member awarded the Param Vir Chakra, and his heroic role in saving Jammu and Kashmir. NCC cadets Noorwinder Kaur, Chahat and Sukhmanpreet Kaur shared insights into his life and bravery. School in-charge Satvir Singh Gill inspired the students to emulate Sekhon's courage and fearlessness. The entire staff was present, honouring the occasion.
