Students of Sharda Sarvhitkari Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 40-D, Chandigarh, joined the nation in welcoming Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla as India’s first astronaut to have visited the International Space Station. He has inspired brilliant dreams through his dedication, courage and pioneering spirit. It makes another milestone towards our own human space flight mission - Gaganyaan. During the morning assembly, reporters from a news channel recorded views of students and science teachers regarding the grand welcome of Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla. Students participated in the event with enthusiasm. They were feeling proud of being Indian and gave best wishes for the safe landing of Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla. Teachers were also excited at the moment. They said Shubhanshu Shukla inspired the young minds a lot. Principal Archna Nagrath said such events create scientific attitude and creative thinking among the students.
