On the occasion of the sacred festival of Diwali, Shemrock Senior Secondary School, Sector 69, Mohali, undertook a special initiative to promote the spirit of humanity and service. A stall was set up on the school campus by the Paraplegic Rehabilitation Centre, Mohali, where lamps (diyas), candles and several handmade items crafted by the Centre's members were put on sale. This Centre is a home to former soldiers of the Indian Army who were injured while serving the nation and are now dedicated to social service. Seeing the items prepared with their hard work brought expressions of joy and pride to the faces of all attendees. School students, parents and staff participated enthusiastically in this service activity, contributing by purchasing items from their stall. This encouragement not only fosters the spirit of service but also highlights the importance of social responsibility.
