‘Shikshit Haryana’, a CSR aided project of NTPC Faridabad, has impacted the lives of over 20,000 students and helped to increase the Class X board pass percentage to 59.68% this year, a significant increase from 37%  in 2017-19.

The ‘Shikshit Haryana’ project aims to increase the learning levels of the students and increase the number of high performers. Earlier, an MoU had been signed between NTPC Faridabad & DC Faridabad in collaboration with IIM Ahmedabad.

During the learning sessions, video lessons were recorded and disseminated among students. The lectures were disseminated via Shikshit Haryana Youtube platform, EduSAT, WhatsApp and were also utilised in 54 smart-class enabled schools of Faridabad.

NTPC Faridabad supported the scale-up of the ‘Shikshit Haryana’ initiative to all 94 Senior Secondary Government Schools of Faridabad. This support has provided the much-needed impetus to “Shikshit Haryana” initiative in the creation of 600 animated video lectures, building 40 smart classrooms in the schools which lack digital infrastructure and providing scholarships to the deserving students from disadvantaged sections.

The relentless pursuit in association with District Administration, has not only improved the pass percentage from 37% (2017-19) to 59.68% (2020) but has also been instrumental in the creation of India’s first and largest state-owned repository of animated video lectures featuring star teachers from government schools. This resource will prove to be beneficial for the students in the coming years as well.
