Shishu Niketan Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 22, Chandigarh, organised a sports meet on Children’s Day with immense enthusiasm and spirited participation from students of classes VI to XII. The day began on a vibrant note as a melodious group song on sports set an energetic atmosphere across the school grounds. The Principal addressed the gathering, inspiring the young athletes to participate with dedication and sportsmanship. Soon after, she released colourful balloons, officially marking the commencement of the much-awaited event. A series of fun-filled and competitive activities such as Jungle Safari, Single Leg Train, Dodge Ball, Musical Plates and Passing the Ball kept the students engaged throughout the day. The most thrilling moment came during the Tug of War between Class XI and Class XII students, which captivated everyone with its excitement. Adding an element of surprise, a special hurdle race for teachers brought immense joy and laughter, becoming a favourite highlight for students. The meet concluded with the announcement of results, followed by the National Anthem.
