Sports competitions were organised on the occasion of Sports Day in the school. The games were organised under the chairmanship of school Manager Malkiyat Singh Rana. He informed the students about why Sports Day is celebrated and the famous hockey player Dhyan Chand on whose birth anniversary this day is celebrated. Various sports competitions were held under the supervision of PET Mahesh Kumar. 100 m, 200 m, 300-m races, long, short jump, kho-kho and volleyball competitions were held. The principal said in her message that sports develop both body and mind.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
