Om Parkash Bansal Modern School, Mandi Gobindgarh, under the banner of the OPBMS Heritage Club, hosted a SPIC MACAY event celebrating India’s rich classical heritage. The school had the honour of welcoming Dr. Rekha Raju, an acclaimed Mohiniyattam exponent and recipient of the Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar, who captivated everyone with her graceful and soulful performance. She was accompanied by KS Jayan (vocal artiste), Kesavan Ramamurthi (mridangam artiste), and Shreyambika Narayann (violin artiste), whose melodious coordination enriched the performance beautifully. The performance, depicting the story of Lord Ganapati and Lord Krishna, reflected the essence of devotion and spirituality. Dr Rekha Raju motivated the students with her life lessons, encouraging them to be focused, disciplined and resolute to achieve their goals in life.
