The school hosted a CBSE Capacity Building Workshop on ‘Educating Parents on Education’ under the visionary leadership of Principal Shama Kukkal. The workshop was conducted by two resource persons — Jasmeet Kaur, Principal of Paragon Senior Secondary School, Sector 71, Mohali, and Jasjit Kaur Jaggi, Principal Director of Silver Wings Universal School. Their extensive knowledge and experience brought profound insights to the event. Sixty-two teachers from various schools in the tricity participated in the workshop. The aim of the programme was to provide teachers with strategies and insights in alignment with the National Curriculum Framework (NCF) and the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, so that students could be assisted in learning and development with the support of their parents, including fostering critical thinking, creativity, problem-solving, and collaboration among learners. Discussions also included innovative teaching methods, the integration of local resources, and the growing role of AI in education. Interactive activities were held, where teachers enthusiastically engaged in exploring the practical implications of NEP 2020. The session also covered vital topics like assessment reforms, holistic progress cards, and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in education. The event marked another milestone in the school’s commitment to empowering educators and advancing quality education.
