St Thomas School, Shimla, celebrated Annual Appreciation Day 2025, also known as the Ullas Utsav - Festival of Joy, for classes VI to VIII. The programme was marked by the gracious presence of the Chief Guest, Lalit Bhardwaj. The event commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp ceremony, followed by a delightful Welcome Dance performance by the students, which set the festive mood. Principal Vidhupriya Chakravarty presented the Annual Report for the academic session 2024-2025. A vibrant cultural programme ensued, featuring a range of enriching performances. These included a Kerala Dance performance, a welcome speech by Kanishka and a series of dramatic performances, such as 'Mahabharata' by Kritika, 'Who Am I' by Saksham, and 'All the World the Stage' by Devina. Additionally, students showcased their talents through regional dances, celebrating various festivals like Durga Puja, Holi, Teej and Baisakhi. The programme also included a Hindi play, "Sher Pe Savaa Sher," and a Hindi song, as well as patriotic performances that highlighted historic movements, such as the Civil Disobedience, Quit India Movement and Non-Cooperation Movement. A tribute to unsung heroes, titled "Swatantra ki Goonj," was also presented. The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony for the academic session 2024-25, recognising the achievements of students.
