The event was organised in collaboration with the Government Museum and Art Gallery, Chandigarh, and Putul Nacher Ashor – The Puppet Theatre. The event featured a puppet exhibition and demonstration session, where students explored the history and significance of puppetry as an art form. The event concluded with a screening of puppet theatre & a felicitation ceremony, where six students from the school were honoured for their enthusiastic participation. Palak Ahuja said, “It was fascinating to see how puppetry can be used for storytelling and education. I never thought it could be such an engaging medium.” Diya expressed her excitement, saying, “The hands-on experience of creating a puppet was the best part. I can’t wait to try this at school!” Divyansh said, “Puppetry isn’t just entertainment, it’s an art that connects people and cultures. This workshop gave me a whole new perspective.” Sunny Negi, art teacher, was thrilled after attending the workshop. He remarked, “Puppetry is an incredible blend of art, storytelling, and performance. This workshop opened up new possibilities for integrating visual arts into education. I look forward to incorporating these ideas into my classes.” Dr Piyush Punj, Principal of the school, appreciated the efforts of the organisers and enthusiasm of students. He said, “Celebrating World Puppetry Day was a remarkable experience for our students and faculty. Puppetry is not just an art form, it is a powerful educational tool that can enhance creativity, communication, and cultural understanding.”
