Technology at our school isn't a gimmick; it's a gateway to curiosity. From AI-powered brainstorming tools and gamified quizzes to Canva creations and podcasts, students are learning by doing, not cramming. Whether they're designing infographics or recording digital reflections, every click leads to a spark. Our teachers are also creating audio lessons and podcasts for institutions like the Institute for the Blind, proving that when used correctly, technology builds bridges, not walls. For us, the screen isn't the star; the student is. We ensure every lesson feels like a discovery, not a download.
Innovation has become an important part of school curriculum, how have you incorporated it?
We've moved beyond textbook innovation. Our students pitch start-up ideas, build mini science parks, run green campaigns and write code that tells stories. Whether it's designing a water-saving model or crafting a social awareness reel, we give space for every idea - even the wild, messy and brilliant ones. For us, innovation isn't confined to a lab coat; it's a mindset that empowers creativity and progress.
What are the cultural and extra-curricular highpoints of your school in the past year?
This past year, our students didn't just participate - they truly owned the stage, the field, and the conversation. We proudly hosted the CBSE Table Tennis Cluster Meet, secured our sixth Eco Club Award, and showcased student-written plays that highlighted their creativity. Our folk fusion festivals were a testament to our rich cultural heritage, while TED-style talks and barefoot bhangra performances celebrated self-expression. At our core, we believe that "Your voice counts, your talent matters," and our events reflect this ethos.
What is your long term vision for transforming education?
To raise learners who are fearless thinkers and empathetic doers. I dream of schools where curiosity leads, courage follows, collaboration fuels, and children aren't defined by marks but by meaning. We want classrooms to feel like launch pads, not pressure cookers. True education isn't about what you know; it's about what you do with what you know and who you become in the process.
Have any mental health measures been taken to ensure holistic growth of students?
Yes. At our school, mental wellbeing is not an extra; it's woven into the way we teach, talk and care. Teachers are trained to notice emotional shifts, and time is carved out in the week for open conversations, reflection circles and mindful pauses. We host regular wellbeing sessions, bring in experts to guide both students and parents and ensure our counsellor is approachable, not just available. Students are encouraged to express, not suppress. The aim is to create a space where emotions aren't managed; they're respected. Because we believe true learning happens only when the mind feels safe and the heart feels heard.
What skills are important for students in this tech-driven age and what steps has your school taken to instil these?
In a world that updates faster than textbooks, we focus on what lasts: adaptability, storytelling, design thinking, and empathy. Students explore technological tools, run peer-led projects, host debates, and intern with real-world mentors. We're building thinkers who can code, collaborate, question, and care. Because in a world of automation, human values will always set you apart.
