A grand ceremony of the Upnayan Sanskar of the newly admitted students was organised in the courtyard of Aryakulam. Vidushi Shweta Arya, Chief Dorm Educator Chaman Vatika Gurukul for Girls Ambala, explained the meaning of the word Upnayan and made the students wear Yajopavit with Vedic mantras. She said the three sacred threads in the Upnayan Sanskar remind the learner about his duty towards his parents, guru and above all the nation. The ceremony helps the children evolve into individuals who contribute not only to their personal growth but also to the betterment of the society. Dr Rajendra Vidyalankar said the prime responsibility of students is to learn, keep themselves healthy and keep their parents happy. Gurukul management committee members Jagdish Arya, Shiv Kumar Arya and Mahendra Arya blessed the students by showering flowers on them. Principal Dinesh Kumar proposed the vote of thanks.
