Vania Sandhu, Class VII-D student of Mount Carmel School, Chandigarh, won gold medal in the U-14 girls’ 10m air pistol event. Her victory in the inter-school tournament stands as a testament to her dedication and consistent performance. Principal Dr Parveena John Singh congratulated the achiever and said: “We are extremely proud of Vania. Her hard work, determination, and discipline have brought great honour to the school.”

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
