Workshop on ‘Art Integration’ organised at Dayanand Public School, Shimla

A one-day workshop on ‘Art Integration’ was organised by the CBSE, Center for Excellence (CoE), Panchkula, at the school. The main objective of the workshop was to teach teachers how to teach various art forms, such as music, visual art, dance and theatre to teach all subjects. School Principal Anupam was present. Resource persons were Urvashi Bhatia and Dr Upasana Vashistha. Dr Upasana Vashistha initiated the workshop by highlighting the importance of yoga, and ‘Om’ as well as the importance of keeping the students excited in the classroom. Urvashi Bhatia highlighted the importance of ‘Art Integration. Various interesting physical activities, dance, music, etc, were demonstrated. The principal thanked the resource persons and encouraged the teachers to incorporate activities in their teaching learning process as well as create and share new innovative methods to make teaching fun filled and informative.
