World book Day is celebrated to promote the joy of reading and to honour books and authors around the globe. The theme of the celebration this year beautifully resonated with the idea that “A book is the device to ignite imagination, a dream that we can hold in our hands, a conversation to ourselves”. The school organised an inter-class competition for students of classes VI to VIII, encouraging creativity and literary appreciation. The activity for Class VIII was ‘Book jacket design of your favourite book’, for Class VII ‘Comic making activity’, and for Class VI ‘Poster mking on World Book Day’. Students also took a reading pledge to inspire lifelong reading habits and encourage a culture of sharing and learning through books.
