World Water Week was celebrated at KB DAV Senior Secondary Public School, Sector 7-B, Chandigarh. The week opened with Toyedagum Swaragini, where Class VIII students penned Hindi poems on ‘Water Conservation’. Yusra (VIII B) and Ruhaan (VIII C) emerged winners. ‘Art-E-Leria’, a poster-making competition on ‘Water Conservation’, saw participation from Government School, Sector 8, Chandigarh, alongside the host school. Sampda and Diksha Upadhyaya (both students of Class IX) shared the first place. The school hosted Toygator, a water toy-making contest, and The Crackerjack Exhibitor, a video-based science competition. Harman–Jannat (Class VIII) won Toygator and Divit–Lakshit (Class VIII) won The Crackerjack Exhibitor. The week concluded with a powerful assembly, comprised of a moving nukkad natak, songs like ‘Paani Paani Re’ and a graceful dance that brought alive the spirit of ‘Ganga Aarti’. Thought-provoking facts, innovative water-saving ideas, and a lively quiz added to the awareness. The assembly ended on an inspiring note, urging everyone to act responsibly.
