Christmas celebrations in Pratap Public School were held and the school wore a festive look with bells, streamers and a beautifully decked up Christmas tree. Pratapians put up a spectacular show in which the school choir presented carols. Snigdha, a student of Class XI apprised the audience of the significance of Christmas and the teachings of Lord Jesus. It was followed by an enthralling Christmas pageant presented by beautifully dressed up students in hues of red, black, green and white. Director Principal Poonam Navet conveyed her warm wishes. The boundless joy of celebrating the festival was visible on the faces of the children especially when Santa moved around distributing candies to them. The celebration ended with a vote of thanks proposed by Mannat of class XI  followed by exchange of Christmas greetings by one and all.


DAV Public School, Alampur

DAV Public school, Alampur celebrated Christmas with great fervour and enthusiasm. The school organised various activities for students of all classes. These included Christmas- tree decoration with lamps, toys and flowers, card making, painting Christmas trees on drawing sheets. Speeches were also delivered to share the importance of the day. The atmosphere reverberated with prayer songs and melody of carols. The festive spirit was enjoyed by all. Principal Bikram Singh wished everyone on the occasion.


Shivalik International Convent School, Nangal Chowk

Students of Shivalik International Convent School, Nangal Chowk celebrated Christmas in school with great enthusiasm and fanfare. They started decorating Christmas tree, made charts and igloos much before the fastival. All students from KG to Class IX participated in the activities enthusiastically. The students of KG to Class IV wore colourful dresses. Some were dressed like Santa Claus and distributed toffees and gifts to the students. Students from classes V to IX presented modelling, Punjabi and Haryanvi dances, speeches and plays. 


National Mathematics Day observed

Sri Sukhmani International School, Derabassi observed National Mathematics Day — the birth anniversary of great Indian mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan — with enthusiasm. A variety of activities like quiz, rangoli competition, poetry recitation, poster making, essay writing and PPT were organised on the occasion. The idea behind the celebration was to give an opportunity to students to enhance their numerical and thinking skills. The event began with poetry recitation in which students recited poems related to mathematics and narrated the fascinating work of the great mathematician.
