The school hosted the AFS India North Zone Regional Meet 2025, uniting 36 reputed schools in a dynamic exchange of ideas facilitating a three-day celebration of youth leadership and intercultural understanding. The event was inaugurated in the presence of dignitaries, including chief guest Dr Sumer Bahadur Singh, Adviser at SAI International Education Group, Diya Badgel, Director, AFS, India, Jayant Lal, former Head of AFS, North Zone, and Rashid Sharfuddin, Headmaster, Kasiga School, Dehradun. The day commenced with a welcome note by school Head Boy Armaan Singh Virk, followed by soul-stirring shabad ‘Awal Allah Noor Paya’. ‘Ganesh Vandana’ was presented to seek blessings of the Almighty for a seamless conduct of the event. The welcome address was delivered by the Director Major General TPS Waraich highlighting the importance of global citizenship and adapting to the changing dynamics in the field of skill-based education. The chief guest talked about the significance of embracing our culture and taking pride in our existence as a strong nation in the sea of countries. Keynote speakers, including Lt Gen TS Shergill, Vivek Atray and Deeptha Vivekanand, inspired the gathering with powerful addresses on internationalism, urging youth to embrace diversity, empathy, and global responsibility. A strategic confluence of AFS Coordinators under the leadership of Diya Badgel, National Director AFS India, was also held to reflect, collaborate, and devise a shared vision for the future of intercultural education. The day concluded with a vibrant cultural evening featuring gidda, bhangra, and folk performances showcasing the spirit and heritage of Punjab.
