According to the agency, the asteroid—163373 (2002 PZ39)—will approach earth at 11 am GMT on Saturday.

According to the Express UK, the asteroid is moving towards the earth at a very high speed—at 57,240 km per hour. Since it has a diameter spanning 3,280 feet, the asteroid is extremely large in size. According to the report, NASA said it is bigger than even the largest man-made structures.

“Potentially Hazardous Asteroids (PHAs) are currently defined based on parameters that measure the asteroid’s potential to make threatening close approaches to the Earth,” according to a NASA statement.
