Angad, Ganemat add to gold haul

Angad Vir Singh Bajwa and Ganemat Sekhon won the only gold on offer at the ISSF World Cup today as they beat the Kazakh pairing of Alexandr Yechshenko and Olga Panarina in the final of the skeet mixed team competition.
However, the second Indian pair — Mairaj Ahmad Khan and Parinaaz Dhaliwal — missed winning the bronze medal after going down 31-32 to the Qatar pairing of Rashid Hamad and Reem Al-Sharshani.
Three in finals
In the men’s 50m Rifle 3 Positions competition, all three Indians have qualified for the finals. Sanjeev Rajput topped the qualification rounds with a score of 1172. Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar qualified on the sixth position after scoring 1165, while Niraj Kumar was the last one to make the cut for the final with a total of 1165 points.
Indian girls dominated the precision round of the women’s 25m pistol competition. Rahi Sarnobat was first with a score of 291, followed by Chinky Yadav with 289. Manu Bhaker was third with 288.
