Anupama claims national bronze

Panchkula’s Anupama Upadhyaya claimed girls’ U-19 singles bronze medal on the concluding day of the Dr Jakkampudi Rammohan Rao Memorial 44th Inter State-Inter Zonal Junior National Badminton Championship, in Rajamundry (Andhra Pradesh), today.
She lost 21-8 21-17 to Vijetha Harish of Karnataka to claim the third position. Earlier, she defeated top seed Unnati Bist of Uttarakhand, who had represented India in the Junior World Championship, 21-16 21-19. Before moving to the final- four, she defeated Shreya Lela of Gujarat 21-13 21-15 and Likhita Srivastav of Delhi 21-19 21-19.
