The National Centre of Excellence (NCOE) of the Sports Authority of India (SAI) at Rohtak felicitated the Indian boxers who have brought laurels to the country in the Under-19 World Boxing Championship held in Colorado, US, from October 26 to November 2.

Ten Indian boxers, including seven women and three men, won medals in their respective weight categories at the world championship. Two women boxers won gold and five won silver medals, while three men boxers won the bronze medals at the championship.

The pugilists were welcomed with great enthusiasm by coaches, officials and fellow athletes.

The champions were awarded medals and certificates in recognition of their accomplishments.

“These boxers have shown what is possible with hard work, resilience and the right training. Their performance is a proud moment not just for the centre but for Indian boxing as a whole. We are confident that their success will inspire countless others to take up the sport and pursue excellence,” said Amanpreet Kaur.
