Bala 1st Indian woman to score 50 international goals

Bala Devi, often referred to as the “goal machine” of Indian women’s football, reached an exceptional milestone by becoming the first Indian woman to score her 50th international goal during the 2024 SAFF Women’s Championship in Nepal, in a match against Pakistan. Her achievement was celebrated not only by Indian fans but also by local supporters, as the crowd in Nepal honoured her with a standing ovation after the match, as per the AIFF Media Team. Bala Devi dedicated her goal to her father, expressing the deep influence he had on her career.

India A excelled in all three departments, clinching a thrilling seven-run victory over Pakistan to kick off their ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup campaign on an exhilarating note here on Saturday. India’s top order fired in unison as it posted 183 for 8 with Tilak Verma top-scoring with a 35-ball 44 after opting to bat. Pak match-winner Noman had failed fitness test

Left-arm spinner, Noman Ali who took 11 wickets to lead Pakistan a much-needed win over England in the second Test at Multan, was included in the playing XI at the insistence of the selectors after failing a fitness test, a source in the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has revealed. Noman had twice failed the fitness test conducted by the PCB team trainers but senior selector and former pace bowler, Aaqib Javed insisted on his selection for the second Test against England.
