BSF edge out Hawks in Liberals hockey
On the second day of the 47th Liberals hockey tournament at PPS Nabha, ITBP beat West Central Railway 4-1, BSF edged out Hawks Rupnagar 1-0 and Hockey Chandigarh prevailed 2-1 over SAI Kurukshetra. In another match, PSPCL drew 1-1 with Mata Sahib Kaur Hockey Academy, Jarkhar.
Rohit (14th minutes), Jaswinder Singh (26th) and MC Meetei (39th, 54th) scored for ITBP, while Amandeep (51st) got one goal for West Central Railway.
BSF had to work hard to get past defending champions Hawks with the winner scored by Harmandeep Singh in the 14th minute.
Rajveer Singh (7th, 33rd) scored for Hockey Chandigarh, while Gurmukh Singh (11th) got a goal for SAI Kurukshetra.
