Aizawl: Aizawl FC and Chennai City FC shared the spoils following a 1-1 draw in the I-League here today. Aizawl FC, in spite of having only 42 percent of ball possession, looked more threatening for most part. Aizawl FC’s William Lalnunfela scored in the ninth minute before Chennai City FC skipper Roberto Eslava restored parity from the penalty spot in the 40th minute.

NorthEast’s ISL game now open to spectators

The Indian Super League match between NorthEast United FC and Bengaluru FC, to be held here tomorrow, will be open to spectators, the organisers announced, reversing their earlier decision to hold it behind closed doors. The kick-off timing has also been advanced by one hour and the game will now start at 6pm.

Kapil, Gaekwad asked to appear before ethics officer

BCCI ethics officer DK Jain has asked Kapil Dev and Anshuman Gaekwad to appear in Mumbai later this month to explain conflict of interest allegations against them even though they have already resigned from the Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC). “I won’t be going as I have much more important work to do,” Dev said. Gaekwad said he will attend the hearing.
