The India A bowlers had a tough time on the field as Pieter Malan and Tony de Zorzi scored centuries to take South Africa A to 343/3 at stumps on Day 1 of the opening unofficial Test here today. After opting to bowl, the Priyank Panchal-led side got two early wickets before Malan (157 batting) and Zorzi (117) shared a 217-run stand for the third wicket. Navdeep Saini, Arzan Nagwaswalla and Umran Malik took a wicket each.

Ganemat leads in skeet at shooting Nationals

Punjab’s Ganemat Sekhon led the field after Day 1 of the skeet competition at the 64th National Shooting Championship Competition in shotgun events, which started at the New Moti Bagh Gun Club ranges here today. Ganemat (72/75) was followed by Areeba Khan of Uttar Pradesh (69/75) and Jasmeen Kaur of Punjab (68/75). Punjab’s Ganemat, Parinaaz Dhaliwal and Asees Chhina led in the team category with 195/225.
