India may have lost to archrivals Pakistan, but the camaraderie shown on the field after the match has been winning over hearts since.

Bittersweet moments filled Dubai International Cricket Stadium after India lost to archrivals Pakistan as the Indian defences crumpled before the Pakistani onslaught, and two Pakistani openers, skipper Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan, led their team to a 10-wicket victory on Sunday.

Amid the usual disappointment and criticism from Indian fans, however, came some rare praise for the spirit of sportsmanship on display. Viral videos of Indian skipper Virat Kohli congratulating Azam and huggingRizwan, even ruffling his hair, and of Indian team mentor MS Dhoni interacting with Pakistan’s players—acts in the truest sporting spirit—are melting hearts, both Indian and Pakistani.
