New Delhi: Six-time world champion MC Mary Kom (51kg) settled for a bronze medal in the 35th Boxam International Boxing Tournament in Castellon, Spain, after going down to American Virginia Fuchs in an intensely-contested semifinal bout today. Earlier, Satish Kumar ( 91kg) and Ashish Kumar (75kg) entered the semifinals along with Sumit Sangwan (81kg).

Rome: Sarita Mor assured herself of at least a silver by reaching the women’s 57kg final while India’s Greco-Roman wrestlers Neeraj and Naveen bagged bronze medals in the UWW Ranking Series event — Matteo Pellicone — here today. The 25-year-old Sarita will next face Brazil’s Giullia Rodrigues, who defeated Anshu Malik 10-7. PTI
