India’s top singles player Sumit Nagal has pulled out of the Davis Cup tie against Sweden due to a back injury. Nagal recently made a first-round exit at the US Open. The tie in Stockholm will be played on September 14-15.

“Due to a back issue that’s been bothering me for the past few weeks, doctors have advised me to rest for the next two weeks,” he said.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
